Selected Articles: Media Manipulation and the Intellectual Enslavement of Mankind.

…….For quite some time I have tried to open people’s eyes and minds to look past media propaganda and learn to think. Too many people are led around by the nose by listening to their favorite corporate “bought” “news?” station. I have even had people say they only watch Fox News because they are the only ones who tell the truth. (shock) The kool-Aid they drank has saturated their brains to the point they are unable to think for themselves. It would take too much time to explain it all, but in this article there are quite a few links that do a good job. The only problem, and I have run into this issue – people who are determined to believe their own ignorance and have no interest in the truth if it contradicts their previous belief, will never click on the links because they will have determined ahead of time it is all lies. Fear these people.

  1. I couldn’t agree with you more on this. It is true – in advertising parlance there is this term called ‘media buying’ which denotes buying of media spaces (air time in between a TV broadcast or square inch column in a magazine) in order to put forward the advertisement of the said product. However, in the modern public relations parlance, corporate houses practically ‘own’ the news. They think they are adding value by selectively passing out news that they want to feed their audience. Voices like yours and mine that cry out against this gets drowned in the current of ‘paid media;.Yet there is much to do. Keep writing, spread the lights. 🙂

    1. What is so disturbing are the people who buy into it. I have an adult piano student is so adamant that Fox News is the only media that tells the truth. She won’t listen to anything that contradicts that notion. She spends a lot of time learning about what goes on in the world but it all comes from only one source. When someone tells a lie often enough it becomes the truth in the eyes of people like that. They don’t want to entertain the thought they might be wrong. Most of that news is to convince people that other people who don’t Fox are idiots, and should be shamed. I listened to Bill O’Rielly and Trump talk about the stupid think Trump did recently when he re-tweeted the racist list of percentages that proved” the black man was the worst of the criminals out there. It was pure garbage. Yet Trump said he wasn’t responsible because it was “only” a retweet. IF he were to get elected ( which he won’t because the media is only using him for entertainment – I believe) can you imagine him using that logic when it comes to taking responsibility for making other bad decisions? But the worst thing about that interview was was O’Rielly saying, ” Donald, you know I support you 100%. You know how much I like you and think you are the only honest man running.” (I’m paraphrasing). People who are diehard Fox believers who listened to that program probably went “Yeah. Yeah,” right along with him. That is dangerous. O’Rielly knew exactly what he was doing.
